Carmel (Honoria) Davis (née Ryan)
April 13, 2025

We extend our condolences to the family of Carmel (Honoria) Davis (Blackrock and formerly of Monkstown and Clontarf) who passed away peacefully, in her 93rd year on April 13th, surrounded by her loving family, in the kind care of all the staff in the Fern Dean Nursing Home, Blackrock.  Beloved wife of the late Aidan and loving mother of Tony, Shelley, Conor and John.  Sadly missed by her sons, daughter, son-in-law Brian, daughters-in-law Christine, Susan and Sheena, her adored twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.  May she rest in peace.

Reposing on Thursday 17th April from 5pm to 7pm in Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown, X94XK28. Her Funeral Service will be held on Good Friday morning (April 18th) here in St. Patrick’s Church Monkstown @ 10 am, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome.  For those who cannot attend, the Mass can be viewed on the church webcam : https://monkstownparish.ie/webcam/.

 


Teresa Murphy (née Brock)
April 12, 2025

We extend our condolences to the family of Teresa Murphy (née Brock) (Abbey Road, Blackrock and formerly of Monkstown, Co. Dublin)  who passed away peacefully on April 12th 2025, in the kind and tender care of the staff at the Blackrock Hospice. Teresa; dearly beloved wife and best friend of Martin and devoted mother to Deborah, Michael, Louise, Gillian, Emma and Julie. She will be very sadly missed by her loving husband, daughters, son, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sister, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. May she Rest In Peace.

Irene Grumley (née Bouchier-Hayes
March 28, 2025

We extend our condolences to the family of Irene Grumley (née Bouchier-Hayes) who passed away peacefully on 28th March, at home with her children by her side. Wife to the late Eamon, adoring mum to Graham and Hilary and cherished granny “Ide” to Kate, Tom, Sarah, Charlie and James. Predeceased by her sister Ann and brothers Tommy, Dermot, David, Philip and Micheal. She will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, daughter-in-law Eilis, son-in-law Ben, siblings Gillian, John, Mona, Mary and Tim, her nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. May she Rest in Peace.

Gerry (Robert) Doyle
March 27, 2025

We extend our condolences to the family of Gerry (Robert) Doyle, (Dun Laoghaire) who  passed away peacefully on 27th March, in the kind care of all the staff in St. Vincent’s Hospital and formerly the Belmont Nursing Home. Beloved husband of the late Patsy and loving father of Lorna and Helen. Sadly missed by his loving daughters, sons-in-law Alan and Keith, his brother Paddy, sister Ina, his grandchildren Ellie, Ciara and Cormac, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  May he rest in Peace.

His funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday 31st March here in St. Patrick’s Church, Monkstown at 10 am. Funeral immediately afterwards to Shanganagh Cemetery. Family flowers only please donations if desired to The Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland.

 


Frances Smyth (née Deegan)

We extend our  condolences to the family of Frances Smyth (née Deegan) (Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin) who died suddenly but peacefully on March 24th 2025, surrounded by her family at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. Frances; dearly beloved wife and best friend of William (Billy), much loved and adored mother of Derek, Ali, Sharon and Willy and predeceased by her sister May. She will be very sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, daughter, son-in-law Den, daughters-in-law Edel, Catherine and Sarah, her loving 12 grandchildren, brother Tommy, sister Anne, nephews, nieces, relatives friends and neighbours.  May she rest in peace

John (David) McClelland
March 20, 2025

We extend our condolences to the family of John (David) McClelland John (David), (Monkstown, Co. Dublin and formerly of Omagh, Co. Tyrone) who passed away peacefully at home, in the devoted and loving care of Fiona and his carer Yolly on March 20th 2025. Beloved husband of the late Frances and loving Dad to David, Patrick, Barry and Fiona; also adored grandfather to Gregory, Stephanie, Bonnie, Harvey, Kelsie and great-grandson Jesse. Sadly missed by his family, daughters-in-law Paula and Richelle, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, Fiona’s partner Tómas and Patrick’s partner Anna, extended family, friends and neighbours.  May he rest in peace

Joseph (Joe) Gallagher

We extend our condolences to the family of Joseph (Joe) Gallagher who passed awar acefully, in Newtownpark House Nursing Home, on 4th March,  surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Maureen, predeceased by sisters May and Helen. Devoted father of Brendan, Vincent and Fiona. He will be sadly missed by his children, son-in-law Micheal, daughters-in-law Katherine and Ewa, grandchildren Stephen, Aoife, Cathal, Eibhlín, Stefan, Lisa, David and Conor, great-grandchildren Ríain, Caiden, Lily, Jack and Charlie, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.  May He rest in peace

Margaret Walshe (O'Connor)

We extend our condolences to the family of  Margaret Walshe (O’Connor) PhD, FTCD and Professor, Trinity College Dublin, Glenageary, Co. Dublin and late of Ballysally House, Ballyagran, Co Limerick, whose death occurred on March 1st 2025, In the tender and loving care of all at St Vincent’s Private Hospital. Predeceased by parents Eilish (2023) and Patrick (2010). Best friend and loving wife of John O Connor . Adoring and much loved mother of Ciara and Louise and their fiancés Morgan and Tim. Very deeply regretted by her loving sisters Caroline (Tighe), Geraldine, Eda (Brennan) , and her beloved brother Bernard. Sadly missed by her brothers in law Jim, Niall and Brendan, sister in law Helen, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours, many close friends at home and abroad, and her work colleagues in TCD and SVPH.  May Margaret Rest in Peace
