
John Purdy

We extend our condolences to the family of John Purdy, (Dalkey, Co. Dublin) whose untimely and sudden death occurred on 23rd January 2026. John, a beloved husband and best friend to Audrey and loving father to Conor and Kian. John’s loss will be deeply felt by his wide circle of family, friends and colleagues built over his 63 years. John is predeceased by his parents Millie and Jack, his sister Jackie and brother Stephen. He will be very sadly missed by his wife Audrey, sons, their partners Sophia and Steffi, his brother Colin, sisters Jean and Barbara, brothers-in-law Michael, Pat and Fergal, sisters-in-law Debbie, Susannah, Tanya and Maura, nieces, nephews and extended family. May he rest in peace.
John will be reposing on Tuesday, 27th January, from 5pm to 7pm in Fanagans Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown (A94 XK28). Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, 28th January at 10am here in St. Patrick’s Church, Monkstown, followed by burial in Kilternan Cemetery Park, Ballycorus Road. Mary O'Shea (née Cooke)

We extend of condolences to the family of Mary O’Shea (née Cooke) (Beachwood House, Eaton Wood Square, Shankill and formerly of Eden Villas, Glasthule, Dun Laoghaire. Co. Dublin) who passed peacefully on January 23rd 2026 after a short illness surrounded by her loving family and supported by the caring staff at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown.
Mary; predeceased by her husband Christopher (Derny) O’Shea. Sadly missed by her loving son, Graham, daughters, Wendy and Gillian, son-in-law, Simon, daughter-in-law, Charlene, grandchildren, Sarah Jane, Luke, Lloyd, Christian, Nicole, Sam, Ben and Niamh, great-grandchildren sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and many friends. Mary was a lover of bright colours, so please feel free to where a dash of colour to celebrate her. May she rest in peace.
Mary’s funeral mass will take place here in St. Patrick’s Monkstown @ 10 am on Thursday 29th.

Deirdre (Dee) Fahy

We express our condolences to the family of Deirdre (Dee) Fahy (Monkstown, Co. Dublin and late of Vintiques, Dun Laoghaire) who passed away peacefully on 12th January 2026 in St. Vincent’s Private Hospital surrounded by her partner David and her loving family. Much loved partner of Davy and beloved sister of Dermot, Ann, John, Fiona and Maeve. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Vincent. Deeply regretted by her partner, brothers, sisters, sisters-in-law Diana and Orla, brothers-in-law Conor, Denis and Alan, nieces and nephews Emma, Robert, Billy, Claire, Brendan, Anna, Joseph, Laura, Lauren, Harry, Hugh, Owen, Ruth, Jordan and Dede, extended family, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace.
