From The Tablet Jul 6 1861 regarding the laying of the foundation stone of of a church.  Soon afterwards, before building had advanced, the design was abandoned and a new design developed two years later.
From the London-based magazine "Builder" 28th Nov 1863 just before the signing of the contract for construction of the church.
