We extend our condolences to the family of Alan Aylward (Monkstown, Co. Dublin and formerly of Walkinstown, Dublin 12 and late of the Department of Health) who passed away on 16th September 2026. Peacefully in the kind and compassionate care of the staff at Glebe House Nursing Home, Kilternan, to the profound sorrow of his wife and best friend Mary. Dearly loved and cherished brother of Clare (Watt) and Phina (Josephine), much loved uncle to Louisa, Sam, Ben and their families. Alan will be sadly missed by Mary’s cousins who loved him as their own, by extended family, his close and loyal friends, former colleagues in the Department of Health, kind neighbours and little Bonnie. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
