We extend our condolences to the family of John Purdy, (Dalkey, Co. Dublin) whose untimely and sudden death occurred on 23rd January 2026. John, a beloved husband and best friend to Audrey and loving father to Conor and Kian. John’s loss will be deeply felt by his wide circle of family, friends and colleagues built over his 63 years. John is predeceased by his parents Millie and Jack, his sister Jackie and brother Stephen. He will be very sadly missed by his wife Audrey, sons, their partners Sophia and Steffi, his brother Colin, sisters Jean and Barbara, brothers-in-law Michael, Pat and Fergal, sisters-in-law Debbie, Susannah, Tanya and Maura, nieces, nephews and extended family. May he rest in peace.

John will be reposing on Tuesday, 27th January, from 5pm to 7pm in Fanagans Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown (A94 XK28). Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, 28th January at 10am here in St. Patrick’s Church, Monkstown, followed by burial in Kilternan Cemetery Park, Ballycorus Road.
